Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia / Gangnam Seoul, South Korea (January 7 2021): All foreign students and travelers from South Korea entering Malaysia can now use the one stop payment portal for the application of SafeTravelPass (STP) which facilitates the Covid-19 Screening Test, Vaccine Check, Quarantine, Accommodation, immigration department’s MyTravelPass and E-Visa verification.
The trial run effective 15th January 2021, is in conjunction to government announcement that starting 1stJanuary 2021 started to accept foreign students.
Nexgram Holdings Berhad (“the Company” or “Nexgram”) subsidiary Tri-G Technologies Sdn Bhd (“Tri-G”) and Vaccines Lab sdn Bhd (“VaccinesLab”) today signed South Korea Panel Government System Integrator Contract (“SOUTHKOREA-PGSIC”) with KoCo Stage Co. Inc. (“KOCO”), dedicated to facilitate the local payments through SafeTravelPass portal.
On 4 November 2020, Nexgram inked letter of acceptance by Majlis Keselamatan Negara (“MKN”) to Tracvirus electronic health check system for inbound travellers for government of Malaysia; letter of acceptance by Agensi Pengurusan Bencana Negara (“NADMA”); and letter of acceptance by Jabatan Perdana Menteri (“JPM”) dedicated to Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad to expedite implementation to prepare for potential border opening.
The portal is ready for International travelers online payment for the ease of foreign students being the one stop travel portal prior to entering Malaysia. The portal is facilitating payment from 8 countries and territories namely South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Brunei, New Zealand, and Australia, all ready with local languages and domestic electronic currencies payment solutions.
According to the contract, “KOCO” shall integrate, customize, and scale the charging system to fit with South Korea stakeholders’ requirements, to host decentralized local regulated data within local cloud data service providers, to handle minimum 200,000 travelers from South Korea a year for period of two (2) years to Malaysia, starting 15th January 2021.
Upon “KOCO” secured other International registration and connectivity of SafeTravelPass in South Korea, SafeTravelPass shall also cater for other outbound travelers from South Korea to the world. South Korea Covid-19 stakeholders including relevant government agencies and vendors can contact “KOCO” for registration and integration of services to use SafeTravelPass, head quarter in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea.
In year 2019, international arrivals into South Korea amounted to approximately 17.5 million; international arrivals in Malaysia amounted to approximately 26.1 million; whereas South Korea arrivals in Malaysia amounted to approximately 300,000, according to Statistic report.
To recall, Nexgram awarded the Panel Government System Integrator Contract (“PGSIC”) to OTTIGO Sdn Bhd which is developed to collect payment on behalf of agencies and stakeholders including Agensi Pengurusan Bencana Negara (“NADMA”), Immigration Department, airport, Covid-19 swabbers & laboratories, hotels and travel agencies etc, for inbound travellers facilitation in Covid-19 screening tests, quarantine, accommodation, and coming vaccine tracing on all airports, and borders in Malaysia. The application came with ready vaccine tracing system, trackable and accessible worldwide.
To date, the system is ready with multi-language portal including English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, and Thai, with localized payment and digital health pass ready worldwide.
The Tracvirus Open Platform is similar to International e-commerce platform, open to all qualified vendors and stakeholders to register, and there is no cost to the government utilization. The platform is designed in compliance to Bank Negara FATF, AMLA and ISO 20022 standards for user privacy and data security protection, as well as implementation of highest standard of anti-unauthorised medical data prevention system. The platform came with artificial intelligence (“AI”) module to divert travelers and tests traffic to under-served capacities during airport or border rush hours, intended to solve single vendor risk and bottleneck when comes to Covid-19 pandemic capacity limitation. Authorities and airports uses Tracvirus to monitor and prevent single vendor site service break down and contamination risk, either in terms of payment vendors, swabbers, laboratories, or transportation logistics, and other value added services.
The system is designed towards the compliance of International anti-monopoly law in China, South Korea and United States of America, and European antitrust regulations, provides central monitoring tools for each country’s nation security administrations the real-time pandemic traffic monitoring dashboard, facilitating agencies such as MKN, NADMA, immigration, and KLN in Malaysia.
The customisable modules of the digital health pass or “E-Cert”, and contactless SafeTravelPass allow government accredited swabbers and laboratories to independently conduct, process and report to their customers and relevant authorities directly, with the facilitation of QR Code system without human contact or third party access to personal medical data, in compliance to International standards such as OAuth, and ICAO NTWG DTC guidance. The modules are highly customisable to each country agencies’ requirements and standards, and connectible to function behind the scene of to each country’s own National App, such as MySejahtera in Malaysia.
Tracvirus Open Platform and “E-Cert” digital health pass was launched in Malaysia and Indonesia in July 2020, followed by the launch of SafeTravelPass, an Electronic Certificate (“E-Cert”) for all inbound travellers entering into Malaysia to facilitate the payment and process of Covid-19 tests, quarantine, accommodation and other travel requirements.
Tracvirus was developed by Nexgram subsidiary Medic Data Science Pte Ltd (“MDS”), and distributed by another subsidiaries of the Company Tri-G Technologies Sdn Bhd, is an electronic health pass system for travellers aimed at facilitating entry into Malaysia amidst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The international vaccine track and trace system is registered with another subsidiary Vaccines Lab Sdn Bhd (“VaccinesLab”).
The SafeTravelPass is accessible at https://safetravelpass.tracvirus.com.my and has gone live since June this year, schedule for trial run on 15th January 2021 for South Korea.
