Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Nov 5): Nexgram Holdings Bhd (Nexgram) today secured National Security Council (MKN) acceptance for the use of Covid-19 electronic health check system for all nationwide borders, including inbound and outbound travellers.
Nexgram new online platform called Tracvirus, developed by its subsidiary Medic Data Science Ltd, and distributed by another subsidiary of the group Tri-G Technologies Sdn Bhd, is an electronic health pass system for travellers aimed at facilitating entry into Malaysia amidst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The system, which is designed and operated by Nexgram for the use by government departments including Ministry of Health, is accessible at tracvirus.com.my and has gone live since June this year.
It serves as an online portal for inbound travellers to register and pay for mandatory Covid- 19 swab tests prior to arrival, thus making the process of entering Malaysia more efficient and convenient. The system is integrated to foreign countries and act as reciprocal Covid-19 tests for outbound travellers. The system is integrating with International and local hotel and lodging groups to serve as quarantine centres for the ease of travellers, targeted to launch before end of the year.
Nexgram Tracvirus users is provided with a QR code-based electronic certificate through the Tracvirus mobile phone application, which will be used by border authorities as proof of compliance with the prevailing standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to travel.
Presently, in accordance with government SOPs, it is mandatory for travellers arriving from overseas, both Malaysians and non-Malaysians, to undergo Covid-19 swab tests and be quarantined for a 14-day period at their own expense.
Tracvirus Open Platform and E-Certificate are hosted on data security and user privacy protected International cloud system, and approved to use by International bodies including Google Play and Apple App Store. The software as a service (SAAS) application programming interface (API) came with firewall and blockchain equivalent user access protection.
According to Nexgram, the ease of transacting online through Tracvirus Open Platform, came with ready clinics for travellers to conduct swab tests, is in line with Tracvirus MOTAC initiative to revive interest in Malaysia tourism by providing travellers with a fast and convenient travel experience while following government SOPs strictly at all times.
On July this year, Nexgram announced collaboration with the Malaysian Tourism Council (MTC) to roll out Tracvirus e-certificate Covid-19 Test for 3.5 million tourism workers. The company had secured connectivity in foreign countries and shall be used in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Arab Saudi and most of European countries.
The company subsidiary Tri-G Technologies Sdn Bhd is part of Nexgram Biomedic Group, which is also a Medical Device Authority (MDA) licensed company which distribute Covid-19 Rapid Test Kit (RTK) and PCR systems for swab tests to hospitals and clinics in Malaysia.
