Alternative headline: Nexgram secured hospital ventilator distributions in Indonesia

Kuala Lumpur, 22 April 2020: Nexgram Holdings Bhd (“NEXGRAM”, Stock Code: 0096) has inked a Strategic Sourcing Agreement (“Agreement”) via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nexgram Industries Sdn Bhd with PT Rafa Topaz Utama (“RAFA”) to market and distribute hospital ventilators and medical equipment in Indonesia.

According to the Agreement, both parties will collaborate to promote, market and distribute medical ventilators, including supply of BIPAP, CPAP, APAP and Oxygen generating ventilators to hospitals in Indonesia. The agreement also covers the procurement of Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) RT-qPCR Detection and Diagnostic Kit and Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) IgM/IgG Rapid Test Kit through the distributor for Malaysia market.

Haji Mazru commented, “World Health Organisation (WHO) announced that Indonesia has the second most confirmed cases of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Asean and the most number of deaths. The demand for medical devices is in the rise, while supply is short”.

Besides selling the hospital ventilators to Indonesia, Indonesian authorised Covid-19 test kits will be cross sold to Malaysia and other South East Asian markets. “We are submitting more test kits to Medical Device Authority (MDA) under Ministry of Health Malaysia (MoH) of Malaysia for approval. The lab test process is crucial and sourcing more quality product is important looking at shortage of reliable supplies” added Haji Mazru.

Medical products will be submitted Indonesia National Agency of Drug and Food Control (NA-DFC), the  government agency in charge of regulations for medical devices and pharmaceuticals for approval . The agency is also in charge of pre-market evaluation, standardization, legislation and GMP certification.

“Nexgram have local presence in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Philippines. Our local representatives are working closely with health authorities in South East Asia countries to obtain the relevant approval for the use of our medical test kits,” added Haji Mazru.

NEXGRAM HOLDINGS BERHAD is listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Exchange and its headquarter is in Malaysia. The group is a diversified investment company having businesses in IT, security and surveillance, logistics, property and other industries.
