Kuala Lumpur, 20 April 2020: Nexgram Holdings Bhd (“NEXGRAM”, Stock Code: 0096) had on 16 April 2020 inked a Strategic Sourcing Agreement (“Agreement”) via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nexgram Industries Sdn Bhd with PT Mitra Abadi Propertindo Utama (“MAPU”) to market and distribute medical equipment for Indonesia and South East Asia market.
According to the Agreement, both parties will collaborate to promote, market and distribute Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) RT-qPCR Detection and Diagnostic Kit and Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) IgM/IgG Rapid Test Kit, and other equivalent products in South East Asia.
“MDA approved Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) IgM/IgG Rapid Test Kit samples were sent to Indonesia last week, and today we officially ink the sales. First shipment expected next week,” said Haji Mazru, Executive Director of Nexgram.
Earlier, NISB had on 31st March 2020 signed an Exclusive Master Distributorship Agreement with Tri-G Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (“TRIG”) to carry out the business of procurement and distributing Tri-G’s medical supplies including Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) IgM/IgG Rapid Test Kit, and Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) RT-qPCR Detection and Diagnostic Kit. NISB is authorised to distribute TRIG products worldwide.
TRIG is a licensed medical device distributor and had obtained Malaysia master authorisation to distribute Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) IgM/IgG Rapid Test Kit, and Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) RT-qPCR Detection and Diagnostic Kit. TRIG is currently already distributing Malaysia Medical Device Authority (MDA) special access approved Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) IgM/IgG Rapid Test Kit to medical centres right after 18 March 2020 the start of movement control order (MCO).
Haji Mazru further commented, “World Health Organisation (WHO) announced that Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak caused 18,000,000 confirmed cases, 117,000 confirmed deaths, and infected 213 countries worldwide. The use of test kit is important strategy to find the virus and combat the coronavirus disease.”
“Besides selling the approved Covid-19 test kits, we have sent more product samples (of the Covid-19 test kits) to Medical Device Authority (MDA) under Ministry of Health Malaysia (MoH) for approval. The lab test process is crucial and sourcing more quality product is important looking at shortage of reliable supplies” added Haji Mazru.
“Nexgram have local presence in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Philippines. Our local representatives are working closely with health authorities in South East Asia countries to obtain the relevant approval for the use of our medical test kits,” added Haji Mazru.
