KUALA LUMPUR, 9th September 2016: Tuan Haji Norzain Bin Abdul Wahab through his investment company Peri Resources Holding Inc emerges as Nexgram substantial shareholder with indirect interest of 160,060,000 ordinary shares of RM0.05 each.
The shares are deemed interest under Section 6A of the Companies Act, 1965 by virtue of his direct equity interest in Peri Resources Holding Inc., the holding company of Smart Tower Sdn. Bhd.
Tuan Haji is also the Deputy Chairman, Non Independent and Non Executive director of Nexgram Holdings Bhd. He join the board on 13th May 2016 as Independent Director, and subsequently appointed as Deputy Chairman. The entry of Tuan Norzain had also indicated the divestment of former shareholders and the retirement of former executive directors including Tuan Syed Omar bin Syed Mohamed, to give way to fresh leadership and diversification plan especially in government related contracts and projects.
According to Bursa Malaysia announcement, Tuan Haji Norzain has more than 20 years of extensive board and management experience in business development, operations, technology, international affairs and government relations. He is currently the Managing Director of Glotel Sdn Bhd, a company which he founded in 2001 with the principal business of supplying medical equipment.
He was the Special Officer to Y.B. Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, the Minister of Defense, from 1993 to 2014. He had successfully led complex businesses and multi-cultural team in driving the strategic compass and providing oversight on policy implementations and strategic communication.
He is also a director in Daya Secadyme Sdn. Bhd., Daya Proffscorp Sdn. Bhd, Daya Maxflo Sdn. Bhd. and Daya OCI Sdn Bhd, subsidiary companies of Daya Materials Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. He is also a director of several private companies.
