KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Poh Huat, Cypark Resources and Nexgram to be among the stocks to watch on Monday after the improvement in their quarterly earnings.
It said CSC Steel as it plans to acquire two industrial properties in Penang for RM41mil.
As for Ewein, it is buying 50% of a construction company for RM2.88mil while Xingquan plans to invest RM99.22mil to buy 80 to 100 knitting machines.
Last Thursday, US markets slipped amid low trading volume and flat oil prices. Similarly, European stocks also declined on the last trading day of 2015.
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI shed 0.63 of a point to 1,692.51 as the bulls took a breather from the recent rally.
“Following the lacklustre performance in the US and Europe, we expect the KLCI to trade sideways below the psychological 1,700,” it said.
